Top photo is of Stuart Roper's painting of the Big House at Hickory Nut Farm and Colleen Webster starting her plein air painting.
The Western Plein Air Painters had their paint out at the Hickory Nut Farm in Fairview, North Carolina this week Sept 25, 2010, the historic property is the former Sherrill's Inn built in the1800s, with fantastic views, apple orchards, farmland and a english style garden, the photo above is the front porch of the big house a good place to have lunch and relax before doing a another painting. Peggy Taylor finishing up. My small 6x8 painting of one of the bungalow on the property.
Welcome to Linda Cheek's Plein-Air Art Studio. I started bulding my art studio in 1990 and it has been and still is a work in progress, to quote Grandma Cheek "by the time you've made it, you've had it." I hope this blog will be an inspiration to artists and others as well.
