The last Virtual Paint-Out for 2010 was in Ireland, Clare County with beautiful green hills, county roads and cottages. A change from the white Christmas.
Welcome to Linda Cheek's Plein-Air Art Studio. I started bulding my art studio in 1990 and it has been and still is a work in progress, to quote Grandma Cheek "by the time you've made it, you've had it." I hope this blog will be an inspiration to artists and others as well.

3 new ACEO paintings of "New York City Street" that sold before I could post them on e-bay, I'm working on 5 more for auction --- we have about 5" of snow so a good time to paint, paint, paint.

Another month another painting for Virtual Paintout this time it is in Mexico, San Miguel de Allendo on a colorful street. This is a 8x6 oil on panel painting.

I did find time to do 2 small ACEO 2.5x3.5 painting for the Virtual Paint Out this month in New York, New York, one on 5 Ave. and the other on 42 Street and

Western Plein Air Painters at Hickory Nut Farms

The Western Plein Air Painters had their paint out at the Hickory Nut Farm in Fairview, North Carolina this week Sept 25, 2010, the historic property is the former Sherrill's Inn built in the1800s, with fantastic views, apple orchards, farmland and a english style garden, the photo above is the front porch of the big house a good place to have lunch and relax before doing a another painting. Peggy Taylor finishing up. My small 6x8 painting of one of the bungalow on the property.
